Mind Your Wake

Years ago I cut out a very small magazine article that resonated greatly with me. It was about the time that I became a first time mom and I’m sure it is one of the reasons I clung so tightly to it. Life was put into a whole new perspective. It was no longer about decisions that affected just me and the realization that all along the way I pretty much had it wrong too in thinking it was all about me. The article hangs on the inside of my kitchen cabinet, still 4 years later. Every time I open it, I am reminded. May I never forget to mind my wake. Below is a quote from the article.

“I have this theory that your wake, just like a boat’s, is much bigger than you realize. Everything you do- and what you don’t do – impacts the people around you a lot more than you think.”

Are Minivans Hot?

Its a question I’m asked on a weekly basis. “How do you like driving your Minivan?”

A question to which I smirk at the ridiculousness of and answer boldly with “My Minivan Rocks!” Its the same philosophy as if you say something enough times, you start to believe it.

My fellow hot minivan driving and Mommy blogger, Kelli Stuart, from over at Minivansarehot.com posted a great video to help you all join in on the age old debate of  Are Minivans Hot? To which I answer with “yes, Duh!” Join in on the convo over at her site too. I promise you’ll laugh. Some might cry and others of you will secretly want a minivan but never admit it to anyone. Embrace it!
